Agnes Chris’ passion for fashion design and haute couture was inspired when she studied bespoke tailoring, couture, and womenswear at Elise Topell Couture House in Wiesbaden in Germany, where she developed her tailoring and sewing technical skills. She then studied fashion design at the Design University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany.
Agnes has worked in the fashion industry for over twenty years with various high-end designers, including Alexander McQueen, Julien MacDonald and Jasmine di Milo. During this time Agnes developed and produced collections and showpieces for Paris and London fashion shows, as well as for celebrities at red carpet events. She is also Creative Director at her own bespoke label, Agnes Chris Couture.
Since relocating to Dubai, Agnes has supported local designers and fashion students, including judging at Emirate Skills. Her appointments as a university Assistant Professor enhanced her teaching skills and deepened her passion to share her knowledge with students.
